First U19 tackle

The Amberg Mad Bulldogs and the Neumarkt Wolves are making history: For the first time, both clubs are offering a U19 tackle team – and in a joint team! Together, they will compete in the Verbandsliga (Association League) in a six-man tackle format. This bold step demonstrates the commitment of both clubs to offering young players a new opportunity to play American football, develop their skills, and experience team spirit.

The fact that neither club has previously fielded a U19 tackle team makes this collaboration all the more significant. With this joint venture, the Bulldogs and Wolves are creating an opportunity that allows young football enthusiasts aged 16 to 19 to actively participate in competitive football. The goal is to build a solid foundation for youth football in the region, foster talent, and spread the enthusiasm for this fascinating sport.

The six-man tackle format, in which the team competes, is specifically designed for smaller teams and youth players. With only six players per team on the field, greater emphasis is placed on vision, flexibility, and individual skills. The smaller playing field and the intense dynamics of the game make the format ideal for both beginners and more experienced players. It offers young athletes the chance to try out their skills in a fair and educational environment.

The Verbandsliga, in which the Bulldogs and Wolves compete, is the perfect setting for this new beginning. With a regional focus and a focus on youth development and fair play, it offers an excellent platform for young players to gain their first competitive experience. It teaches not only athletic skills but also values such as team spirit, respect, and perseverance.

The decision to form a joint team was a wise and forward-looking step. Both clubs are pooling their resources to build a competitive team and offer the players the best possible support. While training sessions will continue to take place at their respective locations in Amberg and Neumarkt, the focus during matches will be on teamwork and unity. This way, the familiar environment is maintained without having to forego the benefits of working together.

This team offers a unique opportunity for young football fans in the region. Whether you're just getting started in the sport or have already gained some experience, the Bulldogs and Wolves are looking for motivated players who want to become part of this new era.

The formation of this U19 tackle team is not only a major step for both clubs, but also for youth football in the region. With passion, commitment, and teamwork, the Bulldogs and Wolves aim to prove that they can achieve great things not only on the field, but also in developing young talent. Together, they look to the future with motivation and look forward to the challenges that the Association League, with its six-a-side tackle format, will bring.
