What a game! On Sunday, we Bulldogs made history – with a 31:24 victory against favorites Landsberg X-Press, we celebrated our first home win in over two years. And we did it in our own stadium, in front of our fans, in brutal heat – a liberating victory that did us all good.

Outsiders? Not on this day.
Before kickoff, the outcome was clear to many: Landsberg, second in the Regionalliga Süd, and us, second to last. But we knew we had more to offer. And we wanted to show that heart, discipline, and team spirit count more than any statistics.
It was already clear in the first quarter: We were ready. No points on either side – but we held our own. In the second quarter, we took the lead with a field goal, and Landsberg tied it shortly after. But then our first touchdown followed – we led 9-3 at halftime.
Keep your nerve, show character
Things got really tough after the break – and not just because of the heat of over 30 degrees Celsius. Landsberg briefly turned the game around, but we stayed calm, stuck together, and fought back. In the final quarter, we really turned it up a notch: two touchdowns, both with successful two-point conversions – a statement!
Even though the visitors scored again shortly before the end, the final kick went wide and the ball came to us. Victory formation, kneel, final whistle. Victory. Finally, again.
Emotions, punishments, passion
The game was hard-fought – and unfortunately, heated. The referees had to call several personal fouls, and both teams lost a player to disqualification. On our side, Anthony Green suffered a disqualification. Nevertheless, we didn't let ourselves be provoked and kept our focus.

The celebrations after the game were tremendous. Players, coaches, staff – everyone knew how important this victory was. Our last home win was over two years ago – that changes now. Department head Michael Sandner put it succinctly:
"I'm incredibly proud of the boys and coaches. They showed today what they're capable of when they play as a team and show discipline. But we have to keep going like this – from now on, any opponent should be manageable!"
Next week: Revenge? We're ready.
Next Saturday we'll see Landsberg again – this time away. We know they're looking for revenge. But we're not going there as underdogs. We're going there as a team that believes in itself. With the win, we've really shaken up the table: We're now in fifth place, while Landsberg slips to third. And who knows – maybe this is just the beginning.
